FYI I’ve checked the search function and Google extensively guys. I’ll go on the Lexus forums if I absolutely have too.
I’m decarbonizing all of my families high mileage vehicles with Auto RX plus(my favorite product EVER) and then I’m gonna try two runs of the new less strong(lol) formula of Valvoline restore and protect.
It’s a 2004 IS300 US market 2JZ-GE “base 4 door automatic”.
The 1st gen IS300 doesn’t have the worse oil filter location in Japanese automotive history in my decades of experience, it’s just one of the worse

.
The stock filter is uuuhhhmm small! I would
a larger filter for the Auto Rx & then the Valvoline.
Google and artificial intelligence claims the M1-209A will fit. I don’t have access to my vehicle at the moment.
We surely have some 1st Gen IS300 fas here.
Sincere thanks for any and all input.

EDIT - I don’t wanna debate the merits of the Mobil 1 with anyone please. It’s an outstanding filter ime relative to the price & constant availability @ Walmart. If I can squeeze the 209A into my tight IS engine bay I’ll be extremely happy. I
Toyota & Lexus but not the size of their factory oil filters.
