FYI I’ve checked the search function and Google extensively guys. I’ll go on the Lexus forums if I absolutely have too.
I’m decarbonizing all of my families high mileage vehicles with Auto RX plus(my favorite product EVER) and then I’m gonna try two runs of the new less strong(lol) formula of Valvoline restore and protect.

It’s a 2004 IS300 US market 2JZ-GE “base 4 door automatic”.

The 1st gen IS300 doesn’t have the worse oil filter location in Japanese automotive history in my decades of experience, it’s just one of the worse🤣😱🥲.
The stock filter is uuuhhhmm small! I would ❤️ a larger filter for the Auto Rx & then the Valvoline.

Google and artificial intelligence claims the M1-209A will fit. I don’t have access to my vehicle at the moment.

We surely have some 1st Gen IS300 fas here.
Sincere thanks for any and all input.🙏🇺🇸

EDIT - I don’t wanna debate the merits of the Mobil 1 with anyone please. It’s an outstanding filter ime relative to the price & constant availability @ Walmart. If I can squeeze the 209A into my tight IS engine bay I’ll be extremely happy. I ❤️ Toyota & Lexus but not the size of their factory oil filters.

Which Mobil 1 filter number is the specified filter? If it's the M1-102, then the M1-109 is the longer version.

It’s indeed fhe M1-102A.
Thanks Zee🫡😁
Edit. I would rather run a larger Fram ultra synthetic but even the stock size is sold out @ all my Walmarts & online.🥲

If it's on the bottom, make sure there is enough clearance because you don't want the filter to bottom out if it hits the ground :cautious:

The stock size M1-102A/3614 is a perfectly adequate size, especially if your Walmart still has the FE3614 in stock :)

I bought the last 3 Fram Ultra synthetic Walmart.com had in stock today for my 2.4L Toyota. I wanted @ least 4 & it showed 5 but I could only buy 3. No Endurance or ultra in the sizes I need at 3 local supercenters.😱🥲

The first time in decades that I’m interested in a Fram product & First Brands is bankrupt.
The scalpers and hoarders are going 2 buy up everything in Ultra & Endurance like they’re Pokémon cards for eBay🤣🥲.

I want the much larger filter media volume for Auto RX carbon removal(I’d rather have a big ultra or endurance) and then the Valvoline Restore and Protect experiment later. Lol.
This vehicle is my baby(even though i’m to tall for it) & I want the engine to be as clean as possible.
The 2JZ is a proven & deserved legend but it needs 90 octane minimum(lots of people run regular but they’re fools…they knock/ping HARD) & the fuel economy sucks relative to the HP in 2026!

My 2.4L Yota is getting another 2mpg in town for the first time ever with 165k after only 800 miles of cleaning(Auto RX is 🔥🔥).
The first time I did it in 2010 my Nissan vg30e would turn over when you barely tapped the starter.
Zero affiliation with Auto RX FYI y’all Lol.

I’ll post a pic tomorrow of the engine bay. If it fits it’s gonna be crazy tight but no bottoming out fortunately.

Thanks a lot🫡😁🇺🇸

Rx is still around.......
Where did you get it?

Google their website. 99% sure it’s on sale ATM. My favorite product of all time.

I’m gonna try two 5k oils changes with Valvoline Restore and Protect after I’m done with this round of auto RX. It’s the same price as every other group III oil @ Walmart. Why not?
