High Mileage Oil

I picked up some 5 quart jugs of Pennzoil High Mileage (for $12) for our Suburban and my sisters Tahoe. The Suburban is over 90k miles, but the Tahoe is at about 43k miles. Both the regular and high mileage Pennzoil were the exact same price so I picked that up for the Tahoe as well. Is there anything wrong with using the high mileage oil at 43k miles?

No, but the Suburban uses about a quart per OCI (around 3500-4000 miles). Both have the same 5.3L engine.

My brother has about 4k on Pennzoil High Mileage 5w30 in his Lincoln Mark VIII, I recently noticed it no longer puffs blue smoke upon startup after being parked for a few days. I'm guessing the seal conditioners helped stop the valve stem seals from seeping. Overall it seems to be a good oil.

Would there be any advantage in using the Pennzoil High Mileage over the Pennzoil conventional in my 4 cylinder Malibu with 13,000 miles since they are the same price?

Shouldnt hurt anything at all...

Interestingl, I just had my upper/lower intake gaskets replaced on my Chevy, and while doing the job the also replaced another gasket on the back of the engine where oil was leaking out.. I no longer have oil dripping on the ground and wonder if it would be safe to stop using High Mileage oil???

Also, the timeing chaing cover gasket is new as of a year ago. I have 144k on this engine. What would you do? Continue on using High Mileage or no?

I would switch over to regular.

But doesn't High Mileage oil protect the interal parts better on older engines? Something about the valve guides? Not sure.

I think it probably resists burn off a bit better and may reduce consumption slightly in engines that have it. As far as protecting a healthy engine better, I really don't think so.
