High milage oil formulas

Hi guys,
I was wandering if there is any of you oil experts coul give me some information on the ups and downs of high milage oil and why it is better or worse than regular dino, I would appreciate any and all responses.

The high mileage oils will generally be thicker although they still fall within their specified viscosity range. They also tend to have small amounts of esters added to them to help soften and swell rubber seals to help with oil leaks. Some may also have slightly more anti-wear additives.

The above is a generalization and the differences between brands will vary.
