There's been talk about this stuff here lately.

I have to say that I think you guys are right about this stuff being bad.

I had a Coke that was bottled in Mexico the other day. It contained sugar and not HFCS.

OMG, I had forgoten how GOOD Coke had tasted!

From what I read, HFCS is no worse than refined sugar in general. The problem seems to be the quantities consumed more than the type of sugar.

The problem is because your body has no idea how to handle an unnatural sweetener like HFCS. Insulin levels are spiked higher with HFCS than cane sugar. Calorically they are the similar, and that's what gets compared on the Corn Refiners Association's misleading commercials.

My wife showed me an article saying that stevia will be used to replace HFCS, which is a natural, lower calorie sweetener. I've used stevia in tea and it takes less to make it equally sweet.

Got a few bottles for some friends at work and they said the same. I can't stand HFCS coke or any "soda" beverage with HFCS now.
