HiFlo Oil Filter - Quality of FIlter???

Hey all...

I decided to cut open one my HiFlo HF-204 Oil filters too see the construction and quality of the product..

I found the filtering pleats in areas to be bunched up and some of the pleats in other areas have large gaps, I would assume that less filtering capacity due to the bunched up pleats not being able to have oil pass through them…

WHat do you guys think…

I was expecting better from HiFlo..

Nothing wrong with that filter. Oil can still go through the pleats that are closer together.

Do you think the flow rate would be restricted as a result?

Any more feedback on HiFlo filters? I'm considering using them in my Suzuki bike.

I've been using them on and off for about 10 years with no issues.

just use a stainless steel filter.
