Good Afternoon Board,

Thought I would post the photos.

1. 2014 Harley Davidson Road King
2. Miles on oil filter 3,465
3. In service 19 months
4. Can thickness .027"
5. Pressure valve working, unknown on the pressure it opens.
6. Anti-Drain Valve, Black, pliable, and thicker than the K&N filter I just posted.
7. As I was cutting open the filter, I used the nut to move the filter around the cutting blade, and I have to admit I gave it a beating and it took it, no damage to the welds at all. In my opinion, and I know they say you can't use the nut to install the filter, but there is no doubt in my mind that if you used the nut for the extra 1/2 to 3/4 turn after the filter touches the base, it would handle it. With that said, I'm no mechanic, so each person has to make that decision for themselves.
8. Filtering media nice and straight, appears to have a lot of it.
9. Holes, not louvers - I APPRECIATE THAT. HATE LOUVERS.
9. This filter is also built like a tank, the can is thick, it took a number of turns to cut this open.

Looks like a lot of media on that filter
In my opinion, it is definitely a quality built filter, and the nut on the can makes it a breeze to install & remove the filter.

I hand tighten the filter and then just use the nut to tighten it to the 1/2 to 3/4 turn that is required by HD. I just can’t hand tighten the filter any more than about 1/4 turn after the contact with the base - age I guess.

Cost about $11.00

Great write up and photos. Thank You. What filter and oil back on and in?

I put HiFlo Filtro back on. I was thinking of putting either the Harley OEM filter or the Fram filter, but the nut on the end of filter just makes the install/removal so easy without Harley’s special filter cap.
