If you one needs a reciept for the HF lifetime warranty hand tools, it's news to me. When this topic came up here a couple years ago I asked local store employee the procedure. Said paraphrase, 'as long we recognize the tool as one of ours, just pick out new one, no receipt required.' Saw proof recently on a torque wrench return, employee told customer just to pick out a new one. Customer told employee it didn't 'click,' which I happened to overhear. I stopped the guy and told him it's not like a loud click but rather more like a release or break point click. Said that's what he felt and ended up keeping his own torque wrench.
