LT235/85/16 tires (stock size, load range E), 1994 Ford F-250 4x4 Turbo Diesel

A guy on my motorcycle forum had 80 psi in these tires and had a blowout that messed up his truck pretty good, what is the correct pressure for this application?

Thanks for any info.

Thanks guys! I dont deal with truck tires and that pressure sounded about right to me but I wanted to be sure.

65-80 is correct. I run 70 in mine (Fstone Transport). I have some vagueness in the steering wheel when I tow the TT if the fronts are at 80 psi.

Follow the tire placard in the vehicle. Just because the tire can take 80 psi doesn't mean that that's what you should run. Unless your carrying a heavy load it will give you a [censored] ride.

This would be assuming the vehicle has the correct tire (size and load range) installed on it.

According to Tire Guides, a 1994 Ford F-250 4X4 Tubro Diesel originally came with ....... well Tire Guides doesn't describe the truck that way and from the descriptions they use, I can't tell which version is the Turbo Diesel.

So back to the placard on the vehicle. BTW, don't just look at the pressure. The tire size and pressure are a combination.
