Help with a yes or no answer on a job application

Here is a similar question on a like application I am filling out, and the answer is no. Of note, it is the same organization, different directorate:

Conviction of a misdemeanor crime of domestic violence is disqualifying. A misdemeanor crime of domestic violence is any offense involving the use of physical force, or the threatened use of a deadly weapon, committed by a current or former domestic partner, parent, or guardian of the victim. Have you ever been convicted of a misdemeanor crime of domestic violence?

A. Yes

B. No
This question is worded correctly and provides a much clearer interpretation of the intended assessment goal.

As the Talent Manager (hiring Manager) for a decent sized company, if someone does not understand a question on an application - I hope that they ask me how to answer it.

And yes that is a horribly worded question to put on an application.

No way to contact the organization. The system is designed to never be able to contact a human.

The resume I submit with these applications are written exclusively for AI analysis; it is embarrassing to submit a resume in that manner. Prior to making a resume 100 percent for AI assessment, my applications were not being nominated during the AI screening process for being sent to the hiring manager. I saw a video on AI and resumes, and modified the resume for AI, and now the applications are getting to hiring managers- only issue now is the hiring manages likely despise my resume, as I am sure they know how I "beat" their AI system.....

The hiring manager doesn't care or have the time to analyze whether you tried to beat AI. AI is simply a filtering device and once a human lays eyes on the resume they simply push it on to the next level or decline it. It is what I do about 10 hours a week - only I have stripped out all of the AI because I want to see all of the resumes.

Somehow I dont think any of my phrasing of the question will pass scrutiny...... Unless that person that hacked my password posts later today.

I'd run with Yes and hope for the best. I would love to chat with the people who write nonsense like that.

You never know about job interviews these days. Most are all online and thru recruiters. Days of going in and filling out a paper seem to be done.

My best friend is an ex-coworker. We worked together 8 years, and have been best friends since then. She is really a sweetheart and a VERY nice person. Has little $, but would give you the shirt off her back, if you needed it. Went to my Daughter's wedding with me. 30 years younger than myself, but still best friends. Calls me every night to talk. My kids don't even do that.

She is a single Mom with 5 Daughter's. (same Dad) and divorced. He pays no child support or helps in anyway.
One 15 year old Daughter was dating a real piece of crap, drugs and all and he was 18. So she banned him from the house.

After work, she came home and he was inside. Told him to get out, and he got mouthy, then walked outside and ran his filthy mouth more, taunting her. What are you gonna do about it? She punched him in the face. Then Daughter got involved and fell off a retaining wall. Hence forth, cops came and hauled her to jail for domestic abuse.

Now she has that on her record, and was turned down on a couple good paying job offers. Kindest person you would ever know.
But don't get between a Mother bear and her cubs.
