That is a completely useless test! Timken machines are one armed bandits, this is the machine where head & shoulders shampoo outperformed every motor oil on the market! I don't suggets we run shampoo in our engines. Don't waste your time.

we all know synthetic oil is expensive, but it doesn't mean it is any better.

I mostly use conventional oil like castrol gtx, chevron supreme. My car have 277,000 miles. My engine never break down.

5w30 conventional is great for all season.

If the manual say synthetic required, then put synthetic oil.
