This is for a 194 Jaguar XJS 4.0L slant 6.
I have several things that need to be done to the XJS and I
need help seeing what I need to do first and what can be
combined. Here's the list:
1. Parking brake system: doesn't hold, the microswitch is
intermittent, and the light on the dash was disconnected to
mask the problems.
2. Rear suspension bearings are perished. I have the
replacements. I also have the fluid for the rear diff that
I thought might be easier to change while I'm doing it. I
have access to a lift.
3. Pull and clean the radiator, replace fluid, and replace
the hoses and belts. I already have the replacements.
4. Bleed the brake system. Fluid is dark and I think this
may be causing the ABS light to occasionally come on.
5. Cruise control and central locking. Will do sometime but
don't effect the drivability.
I've already replaced the power steering pump, changed the
oil, changed the perished cam cover gasket, changed the
plugs.
So, what needs to be done in what order.
