It managed to feel heavier than my Mazda, slower, probably stuck as well in a corner but lacked the steering precision and the throttle tip in was difficult to manage. It would kinda' lurch off the line.
The current model is even heavier and more lurchy.
I would go with an Accord coupe, Scion tC, and Altima coupe in that order over the Eclipse. Any of the above models in a V6 (except the Scion obviously)? I would just get a Camaro 3.6 or Mustang 3.7, have a rwd, and probably save a few bucks.
