We are looking to repaint the interior of our house. I will be using paint from Sherwin Williams due price and convenience, I never pay retail price for SW since they often have 40% or I can use a contactors account to get some paint there. I Looking for eggshell type sheen. What paint would you recommend:
Promar 200 builders grade
Superpaint
Cashmere
Superpaint and Cashmere are the same price and per my local Sherwin Williams manager they are both similar mid grade paint.

Please share you thoughts / recommendations.

As a professional painter id go with Superpaint. it's what i recommend to my customers that want mid grade quality paint.

I went through about 2 grand worth of Cashmere on my new to me house repaint. Not having used the others i cannot compare but Cashmere was quite nice to work with in spraying or rolling.

Husbands picking out paint need a note from their wife.

Superpaint is one step below their best paint which is Duration. I haven't used Cashmere, superpaint has been fine for my apartment rentals. I even managed to cover up an ugly color with one good coat of paint. I have a contractor account also and every time there's a 30 or 40% discount, its better than the contractor discount I get. They'll give those to anyone, only useful if you need paint and there's no sale going on. Although I think they've always had that $10 off $50 purchase out there. I'd take a close look at eggshell and satin. I prefer satin as you can wash it.

SW doesn't really have eggshell, satin is the closest they have and unfortunately it has a little too much shine to it but I guess it will have to do.

We used Superpaint throughout our house three years ago. We have been pleased with it and it has held up very well, so far. We also used the satin sheen.

I have never used Cashmere, so I can't comment on that.

FWIW, this was repainting textured plaster walls in a 60+ year old house.

I really like the matte finish (using Duration interior).

Don't agree. Buy mid-grade and above but never their most expensive. The most expensive is always the profit margin leader often you get nothing much more for the increased price. This goes IMO for all product everywhere. You have to have a super cheap to get people in the door and you need a super cheap to justify higher prices. The highest price product you need to justify the ones below it. The sweet spot / best value for virtually all shopping for anything is the middle to upper middle but always NOT the most expensive. That's how you maximize value. There are buyers who always buy the most expensive and bless them as a businessman I appreciate you. If you want to maximize your value the wet spot is always somewhere alone middle to the upper middle.

Superpaint used to be their best paint until they came out with Duration.

For the interior, Superpaint is fine because it eventually gets beat up and you have to paint again anyway, doesn't matter how good paint is when there's holes in the wall. For the exterior, I always like to get the best like Duration or Aura so it will last the longest so you don't have to paint again. Used duration on the exterior 10 years ago and it's still holding up fine. I see some houses that were painted 5 years ago with cheap paint falling apart already.

We went with Superpaint when we painted our house exterior about 10 or so years ago. It's held up well.

Benjamin Moore is just like Sherwin Williams, they have multiple paint lines. Aura is their best, but expensive, Regal is like Superpaint, one step below their best. They're sold by independent dealers so some of them will discount it and give you the contractor price if you ask for it. Some won't. Price wise I think with the 40% off, Superpaint might be slightly cheaper than Regal even with the contractor discount.

I am sure BM is excellent paint but too expensive for my blood.

For some reason I thought cashmere would get more love then superpaint.

My main point was not to scrimp on paint.

My home outside was painted for $8000. I will bet the paint was less than $1000.
