Hello!! Question about Rotella for my Lincoln.

Hello everyone. It has been AWHILE since I have been here.
How has everyone been???

I have been running Castrol EDGE 5w30 for quite a while. I am going to change it soon(about time), and run a used oil analysis with 15,000 miles on it!

I plan on running Pennzoil Platinum 5w30 in this car for the rest of it's life.

BUT. . .
I have seven qts. of Shell Rotella 5w40. (my buddy sold his car and does not want this oil anymore)

Now my Lincoln has a Jaguar AJ-V8. Ford calls for 5w20 in it like all other fords. But Jag calls for 0w30, 5w30, 0w40, or 5w40 in the same engine design.

So I follow what Jag says.

Anywho, I plan on useing this Rotella for my next OCI.
Anyone care to comment on this? I'd like to here what you have say.

It will work just fine. I have ran 5W40's down to -30°F herein Michigan with no problem! I used a diffeent brand but Ihave run Rotella T Synthetic 5w40 in the wifes Buick even during the winter with no problem at all!

I'm using it this winter.

Running it in a 5.4 Ford modular instead of the back spec 5w-20 with no problems.
