For the time being the only place it will be sold is in the UK. I guess in the UK Heinz is known for a lot of canned foods - especially their "Baked Beanz".

This is a common British food L 👎
I doubt they're using Guanciale, either for cost or for can shelf life
And the proper cheese (Pecorino Romano) just doesn't taste right not fresh or pre ground/stale
And it's gotta be Locatelli brand 🤌

This is how it should look (or thereabouts)

I remember years ago I'd go to this nondescript cafe in a casino in Stateline, Nevada. They had something they called "penne carbonara". I didn't know much, but it had bacon, peas, maybe carrots, and a slightly creamy sauce. I didn't argue with what it was called since it was less than $7. Wasn't bad after playing blackjack or a day hiking. Once I got lost on the trail, got back a few hours late, and then found a place to stay since I was too tired to drive home. Then went right there and it was a lot of food for $7 at a table service restaurant.

Besides that the feeding scenes in many Hill/Spence movies are legendary. For example, They Call Me Trinity, Trinity is Still My Name, and Two Missionaries, Alas, I am not allowed to post allegedly copyright-violating clips. Also, these movies were rated PG and are thus inappropriate for BITOG.

I wonder how the outraged will react when they see that Samyang carbonara ramen exists?

Personally, I think this looks like it would be heartburn in a can.

"More canned carbonara Mr. Taggart?"
