This is the best image I have. I’m refurbishing some of the sliding doors on my second garage, and need a heavy latch.
I’m looking for another heavy latch like in the picture. It’s nothing special, just 1/4” steel plate in a right angle, with a hole in the shorter side.
I could have someone fabricate it, not a huge deal I don’t think, but not sure if there is a version that’s readily available, maybe with harder steel, square holes for carriage bolts, etc.
I’ve done some searching without much luck. Though I’m not sure I am asking for the right thing either.
Any ideas or suggestions? Everything I’ve found is much smaller or flimsier.
