98 Toyota Camry...heater coil went bad and leaked inside. The drivers side front and rear carpets got soaked with coolant (green). How do you get this stuff out? Tried carpet cleaner and vacuuming 3 times and it's still wet to touch.

Glycol dries REALLY slowly. The key is to rinse as thoroughly as possible- I'd absolutely flood the carpet with water and then extract it all with a wet/dry vac. Repeat a couple of times, then let the car sit in direct sun with the windows open all day a couple of times. It helps this step to be here in central Texas with 105-degree highs... may take a good bit longer in NorCal...

I would use baking soda in an attempt to dissipate the smell. Not to be negative, but this happened to me in a VW Fox, and the smell never went away.

Thanks for the suggestions. We had some sour odor from the vents early on but that's gotten better. I'll try the water soak and vacuum. Would putting something like 409 or another cleaner on beforehand help? There's some greenish staining in the carpet folds I'd like to get rid of, too.

Yes, a mild detergent would help. Especially with that sickly-sweet glycol smell. But the main thing is rinse, rinse, rinse.
