Good question,, SR22 so I imagine something in the nosewheel or wheelpant.

If that was a prop strike, someone has a big vibration problem by now and if they make it to the airport,,,explain that one to them,,,lol

ANY TIME the prop makes contact with anything,,,,
The prop will obviously have to be replaced and the engine will have to be disassembled and thoroughly inspected. The nose gear may need attention also. Pretty sure the nose wheelpant is toast. There are three distinct strike zones.

...as in porpoise? PIO happens...

Cirrus is an interesting airplane. I rented an SR22 in Naples just to get out of the hotel, see the area and try a different airplane. I had read up on the plane and knew they could be sensitive to over rotation on landing but, when we got to my first landing, I was surprised that the Instructor had his palm held up in back of the side stick ready to limit the flare. Usually it is the other way w/ an unfamiliar Pilot...they are primed and ready to pull the nose up.

Hope both plane and Pilot get back in the air soon.
