A nice paint polish and wax job always looks nice but you never get a dramatic improvement in appearance as you do when restoring hazy headlights. 16 year old Jetta.

It's like a teeth whitening job for the cars face.
I took it a step farther. My 14 year old headlights were hazing on the inside. So, I installed one new light assembly, and my son gave me one that the body shop was throwing away. It still looked practically brand new. A customer wanted aftermarket lights and they didn't want the removed lights. Another employee wanted the other light.
This is the used one before I cleaned it up.

I just did a set for my neighbor a few days ago. Was driving me nuts. I think someone had sanded them previously, I hit them with an orange pad and M105, Blackfire Polish and finally a green pad with Sonax Perfect finish. Coated with Adams graphene ceramic.

if you do this often buy the cerakote wipes in bulk

the other option is the acetone vapor polish which makes them look absolutely impeccable with zero effort. no idea about long term but if you’re flipping who cares
