HDMI on Thinkpad

I finally got the proper drivers from the Lenovo website and all is well. But I need a Displayport to HDMI cable or adapter if I want to use the docking station.

So DisplayPort does not include sound right? So a step ahead or behind HDMI. Seems HDMI would be better?

Yes DisplayPort does audio. I use it on my monitor at work.

I'll like to add that most workstation/business/HEDP class computers come with DisplayPort and maybe HDMI. DP just has better features for businesses while HDMI has better features for home theater uses.

Depends on what you want to do. Most high refresh rate monitors, like 1080p 144Hz, require the use of DisplayPort, and it also carries sound.
