2013 Sportster XL1200C all Stock.
Red Line Power Sports 20w-50.
Purolator BOSS filter.

Looks like it did a little better than the WIX, not quite as well as the HD 5 micron.
Mobil 1 filter still seems to be the best so far.

Next run will be with a Fram Ultra XG3614 filter.

Blackstone Comments:
For an HD 1200cc V-Twin, the universal averages are based on about 3,000 miles of oil use.
For the mileage on this oil (and every other sample on the page), copper and tin are still pretty high.
Fortunately, metals took a turn in the right direction in this report.
The decreases help lessen the chance of a problem with brass/bronze parts.
If metals find some stability (or manage to improve some more) in the next report, then you'll be in great shape.
The PC read 24/21/16, consistent with past results. Oil filtration kept insolubles to just a trace level

Cant you go down a grade with the RL?

If the motor disassembles on a 40 Grade Ester oil - it was going to go anyway

Looks like some air bubble counting going on. PC numbers are all over the place

Im not an real H-D fan, but I like simple Sportys and FLHTP.

Hung up my helmut shmidt years ago.

you are not looking at all the data

how can you say any of the filters are any better than the others considering this:

the last 2 reports show Titanium ... that the previous reports did not.
and the 2nd report had Silver which no other report did.
and the 1st report had Nickle that was not in any other report
how do you go from 72 to 204 copper in the next report?
and how did this report have within 4 copper alone as much as the entire wear metals of your 1st report?

how can you claim the m1 was better when it only had 85 to catch vs the wix with 225 to catch?

how did you go from a susvis of 103.9 to 95.8 with the same tr of fuel in the same miles?
thats a diff of 8.1 ... some of the grade ranges are only 13-14 diff.

its not that equal like you would think it is

OR

the accuracy of the tests analysis is not what you think it is

Are the other analysis companies considered more legit than this one? With that said, I have always used them.

Actually this is not all my data.
I have UOAs from the original 1000 mile change, then at every 5000 mile interval since. (they are all posted on this forum)
All the data is now too wide to neatly fit into a code window.

My first 4 UOAs all had 1 ppm nickel.
My first UOA also had 1 ppm silver.

My opinion that the M1 did better in my engine is by looking at the 4 and 6 micron particle counts, which also track with the wear metals, especially the copper.
