i just found six quarts of havoline synthetic that i had for a few years it says it says full synthetic 5w30 gf1 is this oil ok to put in my 06 sonata with a 3.3 six?

I think most oils have a shelf life of about 7 yrs. before you need to be cautious. There's still alot of folks using MO2&MO3 German Castrol around. Just curious, how did you forget you had it? Do you keep a big stash of oil lying around?
I'd pop the top, pour one in something clear so I could get a good look at it and if it looked fine I would run it in something if it was nothing more than my lawnmower. I don't see why you couldn't.

Look at the date code, earlier than 2000 would be a deal killer for me in 2006 car. You could get just a good oil in plain Havoline Deposit Shield SM for $2/q, why bother? Good for a secondary mission like power equip/older car/topping-off.
