Havoline jugs w/Chevron symbol

I was at Advance Auto this morning and saw the new Havoline 5qt jugs. Shaped a little different but it appears they are keeping the Havoline brand name, but putting a small Chevron symbol on it. Is this good stuff? I thought I heard on here they were getting rid of the Havoline and only selling their product as Chevron Supreme.

Nope, the Havoline name is just too famous to ditch - it's now basically 'Havoline by Chevron', the same way it's 'Kendall by Conoco-Phillips, or QS by Shell'.

Do you have the newest SN/GF-5 stuff?

addgyguy...yes, it is the new SN GF5. I didn't purchase it, I just noticed it there.

The only "Name Brand" oil that has disappeared from the oil shelves is Exxon. I still think that was a big mistake by EOM. Exxon motor oil had a loyal following and distinct brand recognition.

IMO...Exxon is still made by sold under store brands like SuperTech, Spectrum and other stores so it just wearing another disguise for now....maybe until the inventory runs dry.
