Havoline/Chevron and Red Line Mix?

Redline has shown good results as a mixer with various oils and done so on the first try even though its unique chemistry wont be fully utilized this way. When I look at the new SM Chevron/Havoline VOA's I see similar moly(360) content and a chemistry that may be very compatable for a Redline brew as they both seem to use Moly as AW. I think that these new Texaco oils are the first readily available oils to go this route. I remember Molekule saying something about moly having to be above 350 or so to funtion as an AW agent. With the various forms of soluble moly available, is there any way of knowing if this blend would be a good thing or a waste of money? It sure looks like a good idea if the moly's are compatable and not competing for plating. I really like the idea of some esters in the oil and adding a quart of Redline to a very good and compatable cheap oil may be a reasonabley priced way to get great oil performance at normal intervals and cost.

IIRC, I think it was over 500 ppm moly...

You're probably OK mixing those oils, but until we get some used oil analysis from the SM Chevron/Havoline oils, who knows? These oils all by their lonesome may be the new GC for all we know

If they work as well as the old SL versions, they already show used oil analysis as good as any but some ester for better cleaning and polar attachment for starts couldn't hurt.
