I've been running Havoline 5W30, but see that there are a fair amount of Pennzoil 5W30 supporters. I'd like to hear from you. What do you prefer or recommend of these two? Thank You!

Either.

Both are excellent oils and will protect and keep clean your engine when following reasonable OCIs.

Take care, bill

Whichever one you can find cheapest. I got my Havoline that I've been using in my car for only 69 cents a quart, can't complain there! I also got some Pennzoil 5W-30 for $1/quart that I'll use up eventually. My last UOA with Havoline came back great, but I know Pennzoil is a great oil too.

Last time I compared them from the pictured list that was posted here somewhere the havoline stats were slightly better than the pennzoil. I dont know that you'd be able to feel or see a difference between the two in terms of engine wear, how it idles and performs, or any mileage differences though. I typically use havoline primarily and pennzoil secondarily. Either are great oils so whatever is cheaper go with it.

I like the new Havoline, but it's hard to get here so I use Pennzoil generally.

Both are good oils in the correct application.
