Time to try something new that is never on the local store shelves, Havoline/Chevron 0w20 Synth. Had to pick it up from the mid-south distributor.

Is this product in the Havoline bottle the same as the Chevron 0w20 offering?

PIC DELETED, will repost when it's not sideways

Will report back in 8K or so...

Yes, it's the same. All Chevron Supreme Synthetics are now Havoline Synthetic. I ran it for a OCI in my Impreza.

I too, just started an OCI with this Havoline 0W20 (API SL). My car is a 2010 Ford Fusion Hybrid that previously had Toyota 0W20 and Motorcraft 5W20 FULL Synthetic.

So far, my intial impressions are positive. This Havoline 0W20 has the lowest cst@100C for a 20wt oil that I am aware of (8.0cst). Engine is very quiet using it. I want to see what mpg differences (if any), I see using it compared to the other two. I will run it for 5,000-6,000 miles and see what Blackstone says.

So far, the Motorcraft is KING in my application and the one to beat. Only 3 FE in 5,000 miles of highway driving.

Deposit shield!! Sounds like something from Star Trek:
Captain Kirk has warned us a sludge monster is in the engine bay, "Quick Scotty deploy the Deposit Shield, we all need the highest protection!".

I was at AAP trading in an old battery for credit and saw Havoline syn oil.

Hopefully AAP will have sales on this oil.
