I was hoping to smooth out a rough running engine. When it is in warm-up mode I can feel vibration in the accelerator pedal.

110,000 miles, 80% freeway 20% city. We always take it easy, never faster than the speed limit.

New plugs and wires, fuel and air filters have 8000 miles on them. Throttle body, plate and IAV were cleaned.

GREAT! That's exactly what I wanted to do. I'm too chicken to try Sea Foam decarbonization. Not convinced the 5 oz. gets evenly distributed in all cylinders(what if half the Sea Foam goes into 1 cylinder

I have found major improvements from replacing O2 sensors if it's needed. The engine will run with old O2 sensors, but after replacing them the difference is night and day. Have you checked them or replaced them yet? Are you getting a check engine light?

Replaciing the oxygen sensor would be what I would do first. I replaced the factory original one in my 88 Bronco II with a new Bosch the other day, and it's a different car, so much smoother, and more powerful, also seems to be getting a lot better gas mileage (haven't checked it yet though). If that doesn't work I would try some FP60 in the tank, or maybe an auto-rx cleaning. BTW the Bosch oxygen I bought seems to be working fine and was about $30 cheaper than the Motorcraft one from Ford. ($40 vs. $70)

I’ve tried that and I don’t seem to get results as good as I get when I do a full tank with the Techron or other cleaners. Somehow the duration of the treatment seems as important as the dose.

I understand your reservations about using Seafoam. Try a few tanks with various fuel system cleaners: Techron, MMO, Regane, etc, etc. You might want to pick up some BG-44k (I bought some on eBay) and give it a try.

I wouldn't worry to much about the o2 behind the cat, it just tells you if your cat is working or not. I don't see how it would cause a problem if you don't ahve a CEL

This truck has 2 sensors in the exhaust manifolds, and 2 after the cats.

I will get another bottle this weekend and add it to 20 gallons of gas.

I think most fuel injector cleaners work best with short trips and long cool downs.

15 minutes of driving and 45 minutes of 'hot soak' is the most effective.

It still works on long drives but not as well. Driving around town and running errands or commuting is a better cycle.

That's how I burned the 5 gallons of Techron mix.

I always liked Chevron Techron Concentrate, Redline SL-1 Conmplete Fuel System Cleaner, and Valvoline Synpower Conmplete Fuel System Cleaner.

BG Products 44K is also good but grossly overpriced , IMHO.

I recently tried a Prestone® Synthetic Fuel Injector Cleaner with 0 to 60® Technology it ~seemed~ like it worked fairly well.

I've often tried adding a little Redline SL-1 with each fillup, and now I use Lube Control FP60 the same way, and it is supposed to be very good ...and I have no complaints with it.
