Have any of you used Seafoam?

Yea, it's good stuff. I used it all the time when I worked at the dealer. And yea, it makes a nice smoke show.

It's good stuff when used as directed. If you can't get it at the price you want, look at Berryman B-12. Similar witches' brew of solvents. I tell folks to use a fuel injection cleaner twice a year; fall and spring. Any more IMO is a waste.

I used 1/3 can in an Accord's gas tank and it didn't do anything other than cause a CEL (misfire). I didn't notice any improvement

Sometimes spark plugs can get fouled if serious deposits break loose at the same time.

It is called "Splash fouling" according to automotive textbooks.

However, that usually happens when someone drives on old misfiring plugs for too long before replacing them.

I seafoamed my 98 cavi a few months back, about 1/3 in the top end through the brake booster hose, and the rest got dumped in the gas tank. Of course with 150.xxx on the od i got a heck of a smoke show. the car now continues to start smoother. I think i will try MMO instead of seafoam for my next clean up, to many bitog'ers rave about it so i will give it a try.

Ihave used Seafoam sucked through a vacuum hose and "hotsoaked". The resulting smoke was worth the 6$. But I can't find it that price , so I use Berryman B12 and MMO to keep my OPE humming instead.

when i got seafoam 3 months ago even at wallyworld it was $9+ Im starting to see it now for around $7+ $2 price reduction at wallmart.. wonder why???.

Not a bad product.

Almost any engine with a PCV will get some oil built up in the intake somewhere.

A little 'foam' can help. But a little dab at a time or you'll foul a plug.

I like it better on my outboards as a fuel stabilizer because the tanks of gas sit for long periods of time. I have used it to clear a bad injector on a pwc and it worked. I have used it on mowers to clear a carb or 2 that would not start. On cars ,I have had less success. I think there are stronger formulas out there for the same job that cost less.

Careful if you mean MMO through the Intake. I did MMO though the brake booster hose on my old 97 Monte Carlo, and I essentially caused a misfire bad enough to cause drive-ability issues a blinking service engine code (scanner said misfire), and smoke enough to think that I had blown a head gasket or created a serious opening in my engine that shouldn't have been there. I got frustrated and bought my grand prix the next day.

However, the next day the monte ran better than it had in quite a while, with no codes. I wish i hadn't let it go....

I have had success with both MMO and Seafoam through the PCV and Brake Booster, however the time noted above has led me to believe that MMO should be used in smaller quantities in this application.
