Hate selling cars..

When I've sold cars, the bill of sale I write also includes a disclaimer/warning that I'm selling a used car, no warranties are provided and the buyer is encouraged to have the vehicle inspected and provided an opportunity to do so prior to the sale.

I have the buyer initial each paragraph as well as sign the bill of sale, I sign the bill of sale, and the witness signs.

I prepare two of them, give them one of the two originals and they are on their way.

I've never had a problem selling a used car this way.

Not that I've sold many, probably a dozen in my lifetime.

That's what happened with my Altima. It had no issues when I sold it and the guy was complaining that the exhaust would need to be replaced in the near future because the one in his Maxima gave out... Altima =/= Maxima. There were no issues with the exhaust. It was a California car, immaculate with no rust at all, he got himself a steal and still tried to get me down on the price. I didn't have much of a choice because I wasn't getting any calls on it, bad time to sell it in the winter I think.
