FWIW, Hastings and Baldwin are both Clarcor companies and have the same address in Nebraska.quote:

Is there any difference between Hastings and Baldwin?quote:

Baldwin makes exceptional filters. I've seen them on tractor and truck appications when I was in Nebraska. My cousin farms about 2 section and with his pulling tractors, trucks, semi, autos, etc he SWEARS by Baldwin.. which makes Hastings.. which makes Casite.![]()

Confirmed. I just looked up a late model Acura TL oil filter on both sites. The online catalogs work identically (you can't tell which site you are on without reading the name) but the filters were a bit different in size and some of the cross overs were to different cars.quote:

We went through this a year or two back. Filter Guy gave us the low down on it. I'm uncertain of the specifics (that is, I don't remember). There isn't a 100% interchange on filters ..so I can't see it being just a rebadge operation in the consolidation.
The person I talked to this morning at Baldwin Filters says there is no difference. They are all made in the same building. Some people have become acustomed to buying only Hastings while others feel better at buying Baldwin. She said it was all one company, and no, CLARCOR does not make their (Baldwin/Hastings)filters, they make their own filters and it's a joint partnership for corporate reasons.quote:
