The new version of Xenforo uses SVG sprite sheets to define objects like icons. This has saved us about 30% of the bandwidth we use and we use a lot, about 135GB/day. Combine the SVGs with webp and we save a ton of bandwidth. Our total daily bandwidth consumption was about 200GB/day. Several other changes were made to XF along with these two that drastically speeds up rendering in your browser.
