No, this isn't a how-to.

No, I'm not affiliated with the company in any way. It was just brought to my attention that there's a new player in the 10R80 aluminum drain pan market and the price is almost too good to be true. From the looks of the pictures, it doesn't look to be as stout as the PPE/Mishimoto pans, but for $80, if I didn't already have one, I would certainly give it a go.

For reference, the PPE and Mishimoto's are around $300 give or take. Dorman also makes a plastic pan for about $50, but in typical Dorman style, they apparently leak.

That looks like a standard capacity one too. Which is nice in something like a Mustang where ground clearance is at a premium.
This, and if it is a PPE clone, then it holds a bit more than stock as well. PPE confirmed for me that their shallow pan actually holds about 3/4 of a quart more.

It looks like they took a PPE and trimmed out as much material as possible on the fins. Leaving just enough for some structure.

Have you seen any reviews on this pan? I’ve primarily been looking at the PPE pans, but saw this on RockAuto while looking around, it’s also available from Autozone for $92 which would make returns easy if it didn’t fit.

I have not, since I've been watching for a 10R80MHT pan and got rid of my Ranger I sortof stopped paying attention to the 'regular' 10R80 pans.

Idk, if you already own a mityvac you have to get it out anyways to pump in the new fluid. Other than drain time vs. Suction time i dont see the convenience factor.

It is a cool upgrade, I get the appeal.

I used a whole bunch of URO suspension parts on my BMW M5. They seemed to be good quality and the price difference with Lemfroder made a big difference.

Bit of a more complete drain, getting the schmoo off the bottom of the pan to some extent, and cleaning of the magnets.

But yea, vac n fill is acceptable for a while to get you to filter replacement time.
