Lin's record of the first 8 games as a starter compares with 3 of the best NBA point guards of the last 30 years.

None of them scored more points and John Stockton is the only one with more assists than Lin in the first eight starts of his career.

I've been unimpressed with the NBA (and most other pro sports) for years. I do watch college sports religiously, however. It was Lin who got me to watch an NBA game since Jordan's retirement. I guess the NBA better get behind him and push if they expect people of similar view to begin watching regularly.
