Hi everyone,
Attached are two recent oil samples from my 22 fatboy 114. Bike has little over 10k now, rinehart slips, screamin eagle air cleaner and tuner. First uoa was mobil vtwin 20w50 and second was with harleys own sae 60w for our hot summer months in south Florida. I just changed the oil and I'm running mobil for all 3 holes currently. Cooper has gone up for some reason, I may just stick the mobil vtwin for foreseeable future

Unfortunately, I don't see the attachment.

No attachments.

WG1982, try attaching again. You have us on pins and needles... 😉 In any case, M1 20w50 V Twin is a great choice, despite "cooper" being up for some reason.

Apologies folks must be something with my camscanner. Here are the pics of both uoa.

They both look good. Does your bike have an oil cooler? If so, that may be where your copper is coming from. There’s a UOA from a guy using M1 15W-50 on an M8 that also had high copper. Someone commented that he had the same problem problem and his copper didn’t get under 100 ppm until after 20,000 miles.

I think sticking with M1 V-Twin is a good idea. It’s a great oil, which I’m also running in my 2018 Tri Glide.

Check out the link below about the high copper.
