it already has fittings on it which is what i plan on using, my garage isn't ridiculously big that i'll need to put in piping the hose I plan on using will be at least 25 feet long.

and i usually do change the drains as the regular fittings usually seize up in no time.

Plumbing down stream from the tank is to minimize water in the lines. Fittings directly off the tank when the pump is dumped into it is a very bad idea. You ever experience water in lines down the road this is the first thing to change

i've never noticed any moisture issues with my husky 80 gallon and its setup the same way.
