75 years ago today tge National Security Act established the United States Air Force as a separate branch from the Army.

That same year Chuck Yeager broke the sound barrier.

For the 50th my mom got passes in the Raytheon chalet for the Nellis 50th tattoo. It was incredible.

Daughter is transferring over from the Marine Corps. It's gonna be like a paid vacation with much better housing and duty stations. I'm sure she's gonna miss the friends and the camaraderie. Think it will be a better fit for her.

My Great uncle (Grandma's brother, not really that great of an Uncle, but that's outside the scope of this) Started in the Army Air Corps in WWII, eventually retired from the AF as a Lt.Col. he's Buried in an AF cemetery in Colo. Springs.
If I had signed up, AF is the branch I'd have gone for (they were courting me a bit after taking the ASVAB)
