My experience with Auto Zone has been better over the past five years. Eddie Lambert JR (ELJ), was AZ's largest shareholder and sold his stake in AZ about eight years ago. AZ has been improving in my observation since ELJ sold his controlling stake in AZ. AZ is far from perfect, but greatly improved from the AZ we knew ten years ago.

Of note, ELJ was (and still is) the majority owner (and Supreme Leader) of Sears and Kmart.

I have never had issue with AUTOZONE. Probably helps that I helped and know 3/4 people working there.

They give me heads up on clearance stuff and great deals too

Well if you look up on the Fuchs or Castrol website they have it set at 25000 miles. I did a uoa a long while back and even before 30k the fluid was shot. I believe Molekule was even changing his more proactively. I had got my R18 Honda Civic CVT to 382500 on the original transmission and could still get high 30 low 40mpg. Fluid is cheap, transmission not so much.
