Was on my way home from work and was in the middle lane going between 70-75 mph with the cruise control on. There was a point where it seemed whenever I passed the guy in front of me there was another guy that was driving slow that I needed to pass. Just a speed conflict I guess...anyways I always used my blinker and allowed at least a three car distance between me and the guy I was pulling in front of....when I got into the fast lane. Well this guy must have thought I was deliberately trying to cut him off because he passed me in the slow lane and kept pulling in front of me and hitting the brakes whenever I tried to pass. I finally passed him and he rolled down the window was yelling at me.
The guy appeared to be in his sixtees along with his wife...but the part that amazes me the most... is a guy at that age wouldn't try to avoid conflict and risk the life of him and his wife.

Old people are the worst at Road rage. I had a older guy do the same thing ram his brakes on and be a jerk like that. I dont know maybe they are just P.O'ed about being old and dying.

did you tailgate him at one point? Hes old, he probably thought you were closer than you were then went on the offensive. Still a pretty idiot move on his part.

Quit stereotyping old people. You'll be old one day if you're lucky.

The proper stereotype is hothead. Hotheads engage in road rage activities. Give them a I'm sorry look and polite wave and try to avoid them.

I was on the George Washington Bridge the other day and there were two geezers playing a cutting the other guy off game (with their wives in the car) and occasionally trading paint in bumper-to-bumper traffic. One was an old Asian guy driving an S550 and the other guy was an old white guy driving a 750iL. Both had Florida plates. I was just shaking my head.

When I get old and if I can afford a M.B. or Bimmer that is what I am going to do.

I wouldn't classify this as road rage. Sounds like an old guy that gets angry at everything and everyone.

But there are people out there are intentionally causing grief on the roads for fun.

I had an incident the other day. A 65 year old seemed to be confused and stopped at an onramp with his car stopped half in the onramp and half in the road he was trying to get onto. No cars were coming and I thought he was having engine trouble or was confused.

I moved around him to the right and went on my way. At the next intersection red light he came out of his car and charged up to mine, smashed his fist on my window and started screaming that I had almost caused an accident. He was swearing, spitting and generally freaking out because he was so mad. I had not come within 5 feet of his car.

It was quite shocking, his ritcheous indignation after having what looked like a blond moment.

Anyhow, finally I told him to leave me alone and buzz off and then we both went on our way, him following a few cars behind me until he turned off into his street.

I was out for a walk the other day and actually saw his car in his garage and know where he lives, and actually found out his name. I have a good mind to send him a brochure for some road-rage counselling.

It was a very strange experience, and it's not the first time I've noticed that our over 65'ers seem statistically in my own personal sample to be over-represented in the road-rage group.

don't worry about what his name is or where he lives, nothing happened, and he's probably to be felt sorry for.

I agree. Just mostly felt bad for his wife in the passenger seat, and what her life must be like to be honest.

LOL

the ones I hate the most usually involve some d-bag that passes me going 80 in a 55. I'm doing 65 with cruise control...then starts texting or talking on phone and slows down and does 50..

I pass him and he starts tailgating flys past then gets in front 2-3min later hes texting again.. and going 50..

I pass again.. with cruise control.. guy flys past me cuts me off flicks me off then slows down to 55 again.... sigh

this or something close to it has happened prob 10 times this year.

You never have to worry about road rage when you drive a P71 Police Interceptor. My kid just back from the Bronx and saw alot of road rage. He was so glad he was in his Interceptor. He said the Interceptor was worth every penny. He just got a 07 recently.

True, the Interceptor is great in a lot of ways. The only bummer is the people who come up flying by you and suddenly slam on the brakes when they get next to you when they realize its a Police car!

Otherwise they are fantastic cars though!
