Honda GVC 160 with low hours. The pump that the factory fitted to the engine, really puts a very intense load on the engine. I noticed that the area of the pin that is in the aluminum bore of the block has wear on it, and the area that the plastic cam spins on the pin has very little wear. This does not make any sense at all. The pin cannot rotate, and there is not really a way for the pin to wear in this area.
Conversely, on all my junk parts engines that range from GVC160 and GVC190 the wear is exactly in the area it should be, and that is the section the cam spins on.
Ideas? The internals, the cam, and valve train looks like brand new.
