GUMOUT REGANE IMPROVEMENTS

I was actually more interested in knowing whether or not there was anything to be gained by using it. Since the gas vapor does not travel down the valve opening in a DI engine I didn't see how it could prevent or clean valve deposits. Also, with top tier fuels and an injector pressure of nearly 3,000 PSI I wasn't sure there was any need from an injector cleaning standpoint.

It is pretty cheap insurance if used a couple of times a year, though.

keeping injectors clean and the combustion chamber are still good enough reasons to use them even if they don't clean the intake valves.

Well, that was more or less the question. I never used a fuel additive on my last car and when I had to replace the injectors - due to leaky injector bodies - I found the spray end to be pretty darned clean.

But, seeing that this car has a DI engine I guess it won't hurt it to put $5 worth of Regane in it a few times a year.

So is it safe to say that if it says "Regane" on the bottle it contains PEA (whatever that is) and thats the very effective intake valve/fuel injector cleaner that everybody raves about here, right?

ITW Global bought them. Same folks who own Slick 50, Rain-X, Black Magic, etc.

I have examined my bottle of Gumout HM cleaner and I can find no mention of PEA on the bottle. So, it's a good thing I have y'all to let me know these things!

They don't have to list it anymore check out the website and the msds

MSDS makes sense! I knew it had the ingredient because I heard about it on BITOG. Just seems to me like they (and Chevron) should tout it on the product label.
