Thought about trying this product says it treats up to 35 gallons. My fuel tank is only 14 gallons. Would I have any issues using a full bottle?

No need to. The original studies showed that overdosing doesn't help.

Do two back to back treatments. It'll get a better result for the same money.

You should start noticing an improvement about half way to three quarters through the first tank with it in there.

And if you haven't already done so, clean your throttle body. If it's got a lot of carbon, it gives you an idea of how much cleaning the rest of the fuel system needs.

I just did it visually based on the bottle. With a 14 gallon tank, you're going to be dosing it approximately correctly as long as you go just above half way down the bottle. Since half the bottle would treat 17.5 gallons, you're going to be dosing it fine.

It is much easier with the new clear bottle. I've got a stash of the pre concentrated version so I had to guess more with that one as you can't see the level from the outside.

I used a bottle of Redline Sl-1 not too long ago. With no noticeable difference. I don't know if that is good or bad. I know it is a good product.

It's the same stuff, so if there was no difference, it's likely your system does not need a clean.

Short trips and non top tier fuel would be the reason to use such products.

Check your throttle body. If it's not gummed up, then it's likely you don't need a PEA cleaner.

And I have also used Chevron Techron (the concentrated version) in the past every once in awhile. Last I saw it was still $6.47 at walmart for the bottle that treats 15 gallons...not a bad deal.

The throttle body is the part with the "flap" or "butterfly" where carbon sometimes accumulates..right? I have cleaned that before.

Yes that's right.

Techron at Walmart seems to be good value. The best value for money I found was the All In One non concentrated for $4 at Big Lots.

35 gallons for $4 beats 15 gallons for $6.47 by a long way.

Redline SI-1 works better then the other products you have tried.

Clean the throttle body and if that does not help, then you have other issues.

throttle body flap does not come across gasoline which is put in the tank. I am not sure why you believe junk on the throttle plate indicates junk in the fuel. please explain the connection.

throttle body does see fuel vapor from the evaporative emission but I just do not see how vapor could get contaminated by the fuel impurities.

I am saying dirty throttle body and dirty fuels are completely independent of each other.

I agree. You can put fuel cleaner in your gas but you need to manually do the throttle body maintenance yourself. Buy a bottle of throttle body cleaner and spray it down..
