Group 3 vs group 4/5

Amsoil's 5w30 HDD Series 3000 - is that a group V? Maybe this is why they say go 25,000 miles whereas a normal "synthetic" (Castrol Syntec 5w30) won't guarantee anything beyond 3,000 miles?

Group V is defined as "everything else" So, Group V contains many unrelated reagents.
