For those that have used both of the above ceramic spray coatings - which is your favorite and why ?

Have used the 3n1 often, cars and boats.
It hold up well, good durability. It is reasonably easy to apply, just watch for high spots and a little streaking every now and then.
Tests show 9-12 month durability, I get 5-6 in real world use, good for a wipe on wipe off coating.

Scott HD on youtube does real world testing on car hoods left outdoors. A better testing method than spraying hoods with various chemicals that other testers do on youtube...which does not match the real world.

He washes the hoods every couple weeks and they get rained on and baked in the Texas heat.

His testing showed the TW HS lasted around 6 months in the comparison test he did, versus thee Griots 3 in 1 about 12 months.
BUT, he did mention he has found Griots can vary a bit in his tests from 8 to 12+ months. He has tested it a lot, as it is a fan favorite.

I agree with the census here.
I am have been a user of both, and remain a Griots 3 in 1 user.

My Lexus seems to have "soft paint", and it works great on it as well. This summer I have prepped the car and did the first ceramic coating on it using CQ.UK 3.0, this was after a full de-ironizing (Adams) and buffing the worst of the front end. I now use the GRIOTs 3-1 pretty much every weekend after a quick rinse, and it looks new all over again, never looses the beading ability using this regiment.

I will look for something different than the CQ.UK for next year, I chose it based on recommendations, and it was not the best choice for me anyway...

Durability is more important than shine - hoping to apply in the Fall and have it last until Spring so I’m not applying in the dead of Winter .

In my experience (in rainy Seattle), if the car is driven in occasional rain showers, you will find the lower quarters of the car will lose the hydrophobic qualities after about 2 to 3 months and will require reapplication. I can easily go from spring to fall (due to less rain)...but from fall to spring I have to reapply the lower areas at least once or twice. All that constant road spray wears away the product.

^^^^^^ this right here. Driving in rain will remove many coatings quickly where the spray hits.

I've been using the Turtle stuff for several years now, and love it. I notice a significant reduction in water beading in a couple of months, though. Good thing, it's so easy to apply. I use it heavy also.

That said, I recently bought some Griotts, in part based on the Farm test, and looking forward to giving it a good trial. Can't go wrong with either of these products.

The ease of application with these modern sprays serves to mitigate many of the practical questions about their durability, but the fact that they can exceed old school waxes in that respect makes them that much better.

I've actually ended up "waxing" more frequently, even though not required, because its quicker and easier than the old regimen with a traditional paste or liquid wax.

Even if one is lazy, and wants to push them to their full limits before refreshing, they're still competitive, without the hassle.

I use the hybrid solutions “black” on all 3 of my cars with one of the 3 being blue. Go light on the product so it doesn’t streak. I have a tunnel wash membership and it does a great job on swirl marks and even my black 2018 still looks almost showroom new. Maybe better. To be honest, I’ve never found a griots product that’s blown me away. I was given a can of their tire spray and it was the worst thing I’ve ever used. I also tried their “butter” wax, or whatever they call it, and felt I wasted an afternoon for not much of anything. In between times I use Meguiars black detail spray and have been impressed with how well it does and is super easy after a wash.

I currently use TW Seal ‘N Shine which was one of the earlier ceramic sprays . I would like to think TW Hybrid Solutions or the Griotts 3 in 1 would be a step up in quality ?

Flip a coin honestly. All of the spray sealants are mediocre. They'll do the job for a few weeks, then you need to reapply, which is the great thing about them. Griot's is durable, but lacks the hydrophobic properties I like. They have a 90 degree contact angle which is meh. Good coatings usually produce contact angles of 110-120, which helps clear water off the surface faster.

Hydrophobic properties are important to me during the fall / winter rainy season to keep vehicles a little cleaner .

TW lasts over the winter in my fleet. Lets the snow slide off easier also. Had 186 in. of it last winter BTW.
Long time user of TW also, best bang for the buck and can't beat its application.

Project farm did a nice Youtube test on all of these. Griot's was one of the best if I remember correctly. I have used Torque in the past with great results, I will try Griot's next.

Groits gets my nod. I always apply the first coat -- on a clean prepped paint surface. Then 24 hours later apply the second coat. The shine and beading properties are remarkable for the price. Just top it up acouple months later -- no biggie.
