This has been my experience as well. It's also easier to apply.Griot's Ceramic 3 in 1 provides a glossier finish and lasts longer than the Turtle Wax Hybrid Solutions Ceramic spray sealant.
That's my experience also. On a well prepped surface with quality paint, 2 coats of 3 in 1, applied properly, is very hard to beat.Griot's Ceramic 3 in 1 provides a glossier finish and lasts longer than the Turtle Wax Hybrid Solutions Ceramic spray sealant.
In my experience (in rainy Seattle), if the car is driven in occasional rain showers, you will find the lower quarters of the car will lose the hydrophobic qualities after about 2 to 3 months and will require reapplication. I can easily go from spring to fall (due to less rain)...but from fall to spring I have to reapply the lower areas at least once or twice. All that constant road spray wears away the product.Durability is more important than shine - hoping to apply in the Fall and have it last until Spring so I’m not applying in the dead of Winter .
^^^^^^ this right here. Driving in rain will remove many coatings quickly where the spray hits.In my experience (in rainy Seattle), if the car is driven in occasional rain showers, you will find the lower quarters of the car will lose the hydrophobic qualities after about 2 to 3 months and will require reapplication. Hydrophobic properties are important to me during the fall / winter rainy season to keep vehicles a little cleaner .Flip a coin honestly. All of the spray sealants are mediocre. They'll do the job for a few weeks, then you need to reapply, which is the great thing about them. Griot's is durable, but lacks the hydrophobic properties I like. They have a 90 degree contact angle which is meh. Good coatings usually produce contact angles of 110-120, which helps clear water off the surface faster.
