Great thread about Fram oil filter testing w/pics

It's from 2011 and may have been posted here before but I found a very interesting online thread from a guy who got to visit the testing facility at Fram and checked out the Fram filters. The machines and methodology used for the test look super interesting to me. There is some good info on Fram. Sorry if it has been posted here before:

It has been posted a few times ... good thread. Jay Buckley, who is "Motorking" here seems to invite a few members off of BITOG every year or two to visit the Fram Labs, etc. Our member sayjac went not long ago.

Well they've made a believer out of me...of course with the help of BITOG... 6 months ago I wouldn't even look at a Fram filter , much less run one on my car.

With the recent complaints about tears in Purolator filters I'll use a Fram over a Purolator any day of the week now.

I really like the TG and Ultra filters personally and believe they are some of the best filters for your engine. I have seen that thread before too.

I have used P1's before but with the tears i like the fram TG as an alternative.

Never thought I'd be a Fram guy, but I'm having great luck with their Ultra cartridges....

I just installed a Fram Ultra on my new 2014 Ram 5.7L Hemi!

I thought I would never touch Fram again. After months of reading and looking at pics. I can honestly say I trust the Ultra with my $47K dollar investment.

For the Price @ WM the Ultra in my opinion is a Great Choice!

I will keep it on for 2 OCI=10K-12K miles.

JSRT4: You are correct-->The average US citizen is more worried about what is going on within Facebook and Twitter and feeding their 10 kids at McDonalds.

Using a Very good Oil Filter is the last thing on their Minds.
