High TBN is nice but other than that it's rather unremarkable on paper.

With a sulfated ash level of 2.0, there is no way in [censored] this oil could officially meet specs such as MB 229.51 or VW 505.01. Heck, it couldn't even meet MB 229.5 which is a less stringent spec.

And I'm pretty sure that's way above API SM limits for a 5w30 grade as well.

You definitely want to stay away from it if you have a DI engine.

I believe that Oub posted the wrong data sheet.

The data sheet posted "megol Motorenoel Diesel Truck Performance" is diesel spec ash 2.0 ( engines without EGR), MB 228.5

The "megol Motorennoel Compatible SAE 5w30" is for MB 229.51/BMW LL-04

The lower, the better. Obviously, add pack/TBN and sulfated ash levels are related, so the only way to reduce the ash level is to make an oil with a weaker add pack, which may in turn limit your max OCI.

Obviously they got the specs mixed up. It is an oil to use say on my Euro 3 Unimog with sulfated ash 2.0%; in no way would it meet ACEA C3 but rather E4/E7.

Sorry, I was comparing the specs in your post to the Tech data sheet. The website link "Clearing" data does not match the data sheet.
A great oil for a Citroen DS19 or Citroen Ami may not be the same as a great oil for a Renault Kangoo!
