I've got a lower stress-bar on my GTI that has greasable end links. You can see them in the picture below. They're ball-joint-type end links.

Any recommendations on a long-lasting grease to use? I've got some Mobil 1 grease at home, but don't know much about grease.

Thanks!

At my auto business we use Mystic JT6 for everything, chassis lube, wheel bearings, like I said, everything. Don't know anything about M1 but would assume it's a synthetic? Would expect any high end grease would be sufficient for any reasonable service interval.

Mystik make one of the best lithium complex greases ,I would use a Aluminum complex grease ,works better under pressure and moisture,Schaeffers 238#2 for chassis is a choice to consider,or the 274#2 semi synt.check around in phone book for a outlet near you for a tube or two,you will like this stuff.BL

Tried to use the M1, but my ramps don't raise the car enough for me to afix my large grease-gun to the fitting - it's has a long, non-flexible dispensing end.

I'm going to get either a smaller grease gun, or a flexible dispensing tube - whichever is cheapest at Harbor Freight!

Thanks Brian. I'll look into the Mystik if I have to get a new gun.

Just get a new whip hose for present gun. Hose at Auto Zone or NAPA won't cost as much as freight from HF!

No reason not to use M1. Just get new hose.

Can anyone help me find Mystik JT-6 High temp in Central Pennsylvania? I heard so much about the grease that I had to try it, but the only type of container that I could find is the 1lb "jar". Particularly, I am looking for the 14oz cartridge that I can load into my grease gun.

I have looked in every Auto parts store from here in Elizabethtown (Lancaster County) to York, to Harrisburg. Advanced Auto, Pep Boys, Tractor Supply (where I found the 1lb container of JT-6), Federated Auto Parts, Several other "Agricultural Stores", Lowes, Home Depot, Autozone, Several Truck Stops, and even a Citgo gas station.

I am giving up on driving around looking for it. I am hoping someone can help me out here. It is cheaper on gas.

Thank you,

Tony

Why not Google Conoco/Mystik, find their contact us and Email for an outlet near you? Probably won't tell you which but I'd bet it's probably also packaged as one of the Conoco or Kendal greases.
