So because I'm a curious fellow and since all of the grease in the ball joints that compose the front wiper system were filled with dirt that loosely resembled grease. I figured why not, it's been 16 years, and who knows what shape the grease is in.

So I pull apart the motor/transmission, find the grease pretty dry looking and pushed off to the sides and not really 're-greasing'.

The factory stuff is school bus yellow, it's a steel worm drive on a plastic driven gear, there are copper contacts and a brass power plate.

What do you guys suggest I put back into this thing?

Thank you sir, I ordered the 33 in the medium type.

Should I have gone with the 33 in light? If so, I guess I'll know better next time.

You can tell the front motor/transmission has been used much more extensively than the rear, the front gear teeth have a U shape to their crowns, while the rear's are still straight, but both had the original grease turn hard and a translucent amber colour.
