Grease for steering rack boots?

Do you need to put grease in the steering rack boots? My boots are torn, so I will be replacing them, along with the tie rods.

Some rack bellows include a packet of grease, but I don't think mine will include one. I ordered Delphi boots and tie rods. They should be here by the end of the week.

So my question is, do I need to grease the boots? And what kind of grease to use?

I've never heard of greasing the boots. The boots are to keep dirt and water out. What purpose would greasing them serve? Stop squeaks?

I would use any quality moly grease. It stays where put very well (ever try to get it out of clothing?)
That link mentions grease for gears inside the rack, not about the boots.

I just got the Delphi boots yesterday. It seems that Delphi put a small dab of grease on the small end.
