These are a suspension control arm/panhard bar "johnnie joint" type rod end which uses a spherical chrome plated metal ball riding in between two thick delrin races, held in place by threaded compression plates/adjusters.
The manufacturer suggests Super Lube grease be used in the zerk fittings.
Any other suggestions on what could possibly be better in this setup (Red Line, Shaeffers, Neo, Amsoil Polymeric Offroad)???
They DO suggest a lithium complex grease, whether it be mineral or sythetic based.
These things DO see a A LOT of stress/'pound-out' as they take the full brunt of every launch from a stop, load and unload upon accel/decel, and bump compression/rebound, as well as much movement during hard cornering.
Thanks in advance,
Dave
