My Grandfather was impressive. Besides being a big part of who I am, he was career Navy, retiring as a Chief Petty Officer. During WWII he did three submarine war patrols in the Pacific including the one on SS-384 Parche for which Captain Ramage was awarded the Medal of Honor. Google it.
I have much of his materials from his duty and schooling. One is a technical notebook from a newly constructed sub he was assigned to in 1939. I have had this for years, but just found this recipe in a pocket. Not sure of its age, but given what it was in and the documents with it, I'd guess late 30's-early 40's.
3 jiggers, its a potent one. Enjoy while remembering those who served!
This will be framed.
